Ronald McDonald House
The Ronald McDonald House (RMH) is Alpha Delta Pi’s international philanthropy. The Epsilon Psi chapter visits the Ronald McDonald Houses in Knoxville, Chattanooga, and Nashville. The RMH provides a home away from home for families of seriously ill children who are receiving treatment at nearby hospitals. The Ronald McDonald House allows parents an escape from the hospital environment, to have the support of other families with the same plight, and to ease some of the stress associated with their child’s illness. The sisters of ADPi support the RMH by cooking meals for the residents staying at RMH and donating needed items and money regularly. To learn more about the Ronald McDonald House click HERE.
We have a philanthropy event each semester to raise money for the Ronald McDonald House. In the fall, we have Diamond Heist. Diamond Heist lasts for three days in which we have events such as the Diamond Dive in the pool, the sisterhood search, Pi at a Pi, and the Pi Prison. This past year, we raised over $5,000 with the help of greek associations, students, and faculty members. Although a lot of our volunteer and fundraising efforts are focused on the Ronald McDonald House, we also help other local charities. These include the Cookeville Regional Medical Center, Genesis House, The American Cancer Society Relay For Life of Putnam County and many others. We also enjoy participation in the philanthropic events sponsored by other Greeks (fraternities and sororities) on campus such as Sigma Chi Derby Days, Kappa Alpha Shoot Out, FIJI Island Week, Pike's Peak, and many others.
